Rupesh Sharma

Hi there 👋 I’m Rupesh Sharma!

I’m a Platform Lead and backend engineer working on large-scale systems in the lending and incentives domain. Over the years, I’ve spent most of my time building platforms that support complex decision making, integrations, and high throughput workflows.

As my role evolved, I started spending more time leading teams and owning outcomes. That growth was rewarding, but it also meant less time writing code and building things end to end. Building is what originally drew me to engineering, and I did not want to lose that part of myself.

Staying close to the craft

I strongly believe that good leaders stay close to the work. Not to micromanage, but to understand the problems deeply and make better decisions. For me, staying close means continuing to build, experiment, and learn.

AI-assisted development made this possible again. It reduced the friction between ideas and execution. I could prototype faster, explore side projects, and go deep technically even with a busy schedule.

What I write about

Here, I share practical learnings and opinions on:

Everything here comes from hands-on experience. Things I’ve tried, things that failed, and things that worked after iteration.

Why this site exists

This is not a portfolio or a content funnel. It is a space to think in public, document ideas, and reflect on building in the age of AI.

If something here helps you think differently or build better, that is more than enough.

You can find me on GitHub and LinkedIn, or start exploring from the home page.
